Source: VK has no plans to fire staff working from abroad
MOSCOW, Jan 12 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet company VK will not fire the employees staying abroad, a source familiar with the situation told PRIME on Thursday.
“At VK, dismissal of the employees is out of the question because the market lacks IT specialists and not a single Russian company will do it in the current conditions,” the source said.
Telegram channels said that VK would fire all the employees who would not return to the country.
IT companies, banks, and state agencies have employees who have access to sensitive data. “Their work can be done only from the office. Such employees cannot work from abroad, and they are offered either to return or take the projects that do not stipulate access to crucial data,” the source said.
VK said that it works in a hybrid mode, and the schedule and format of work of its employees is set individually.
